Projects

Here you will find a series of completed projects that reflect a thoughtful approach to design, materiality and context. Each project showcases a balance between functionality and aesthetics, shaped by close collaboration with clients and a deep understanding of site, scale and purpose.

Two Storey Contemporary Dwelling, Carndonagh

A two storey dwelling in rural Donegal, while contemporary in feeling, uses many traditional finishes - dashed / roughcast render, slate finish etc. The clients had a requirement for the house to have large glazed elements in order to maximise daylight and the views of the landscape & ocean beyond.

Refurbishment & Extension of Traditional Cottage, Moville

This project involved the complete refurbishment of an existing traditional cottage, along with the extension and refurbishment of a previously constructed 1990s extension to the rear of the property. A careful selection of external materials helped in marking a clear delineation between the original cottage and the more recent works.

Contemporary Rural Dwelling Buncrana, Donegal

This rural dwelling was constructed in 2006. Whilst contemporary in feel, the dwelling makes strong reference to traditional dwelling typology. A narrow plan is utilised to maximise light & views, with many rooms having 3 different aspects and benefitting from light all through the daytime.
